About this event

The Women's Centre Makers Market is a celebration of creativity, entrepreneurship, and community! This inaugural event showcases talented Makers from the Women's Centre who are ready to share their artistry and skills with you, our community.

We intentionally use the term Maker to highlight each individual's journey as both a creator and a leader—whether through traditional crafts or innovative technologies.

Our Makers are core members of the Women’s Centre community, having engaged in various programs, workshops, and volunteer opportunities. Their involvement reflects the Centre's impact on fostering connections, engagement, and a sense of belonging.

In preparation for the event, Makers have participated in capacity-building workshops to ensure they're ready to shine at their Market debut. With over 20 Makers selling handmade goods, all proceeds go directly to them—please note, cash payments only.

Join us for a vibrant day featuring live music by local artists, guided tours of the Women’s Centre and its programs, and a pay-what-you-can café, with proceeds supporting future Makers Markets and community programs.
