Come meet your fellow Maker, Craftsperson, Artist, Market Seller and other members of our vibrant handmade scene.
We aim to offer a chance for those involved in Handmade to leave their studio and socialize for a few hours, enjoy an alcohol-free beverage and create some connections in the fabulous Heritage Hall 3102 Main Street, Vancouver.
Bring your business cards to give your new friends, and visit with your friends you never see outside the markets. Share your story, successes and challenges with others who are in the same field.
This event is open to anyone with involvement in Vancouver's handmade community, with the purpose to create space for deeper conversations to occur surrounding Handmade.
Be prepared with one topic you feel you are knowledgable about surrounding Markets, Handmade, Display, Social Media, Shipping etc.
Let's keep it social: No selling of goods or services or heavy marketing is permitted. Please no MLMs. Market organizers very welcome but please identify your event at sign-in.
Tickets also available at the door for $15. Complimentary drink ticket included with your admission.
The Heritage Hall has an accessible entrance available by request. As this is a networking based event, it may not be of interest to children, so please consider leaving the kids at home. Parking is available in the neighbourhood surrounding the venue or consider taking transit.

First Pick Handmade began in 2017 as an Artist-Run Market event aiming to create a space for Canadian-made Fashion-based designers to come together to show and sell to the public in a curated space. Post-Pandemic, we began to include other high-end handmade Art + Design at our events and in 2023 we launched our Good Stuff $50 and Under Holiday Market event to further serve more makers and designers at the busy Holiday season. Our mission is two-fold: to elevate interest and awareness in handmade among the general public and to provide makers with sales opportunities in a more intimate, curated and advertised market that puts the needs of makers first.
