About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

As acting teachers and coaches, our power can feel uncomfortable, holding both creative and destructive potential. How do we begin to confidently and sensitively manage this force? In this workshop we explore tools to recognize, balance and share power. We generate ideas to keep our spaces respectful and safe, discussing how to clearly define our role, set boundaries, and empower our students so that they can take creative risks. In the process, we increase our own ease and confidence as educators, and learn to sit in the discomfort that comes with power - eventually leading to exciting personal growth for our students and ourselves!
