Solaires is developing the next generation of affordable, more efficient solar cells through a novel perovskite ink and a superior manufacturing process. Solaires has shipped its ink to different countries in two continents. It has signed with two distributors in South Korea and Japan, and has also signed a joint development agreement with a company in Europe. Solaires has won multiple international competitions, including the Canada’s Clean50 top projects, and has been named one of Foresight’s most investable companies.

Liven Proteins is a natural ingredient company producing animal-free, functional and sustainable protein ingredients. Its lead product is animal-free collagen for the food and beverage sector. This ingredient is vegan, halal and kosher-friendly, has no off odour, and has less environmental footprint than collagen. Liven has attracted numerous sample requests from global ingredient houses, and has secured a pilot-scale facility to secure strategic partners and a future paid pilot.

NeoCtech has a unique electrified technology to produce high-purity and critical rare earth metals from recycled waste magnets. The process is easily scalable with a zero-carbon footprint, and is economic: the cost is less than $2 per kilogram of the waste. NeoCtech received several grants totalling $500,000 from government of Quebec, Mitacs, and IAC (Innovation Asset Collective), and a $30,000 contract with Medallion Resources Inc.

AirMatrix builds highways in the skies for urban aviation, with both government and enterprise customers. AirMatrix maps cities with up to 100 times more precision than Google Maps and ensures that all relevant data for autopilots is functional across all OEMs. Customers include municipalities, airports, telecommunication providers and more. The company is on track to surpass $1 million in revenue in 2023.

Inmotive is the Canada-based inventor of the Ingear transmission, an ultra-efficient multi-speed powertrain technology for a wide range of applications. Ingear extends electric vehicle range by 7-15% while lowering cost and weight. Its highly reliable design increases torque, acceleration, gradeability and top-speed while providing continuous torque during smooth shifts. Inmotive is headquartered in Toronto, operates a WFOE in Shanghai, and has sales offices in Stuttgart and Tokyo. Inmotive brings together innovation and automotive expertise resulting in 16 patents issued and 17 patents pending.
