Wisdom of Attending
All of Creation is in constant praise of Allah (swt), and so come for a few moments this Friday evening, to thank Allah (swt) by mention of his names, and to praise (salawat) His Beloved, our Prophet (peace be upon him). The benefits are known: for every salawat we make, Allah (swt) will return ten upon the servant; but the immensity of each one of Allah's praise on us are vast and immeasurable. Circles of rememberance are Gardens of Paradise on the earth (Tirmidhi). The Mawlid is a means of raising hearts and striving for the love and light (Noor) of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The point is simply, a sincere thanks for his good favor in making us part of His Ummah sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
Janab Allah has granted the highest honour to our Prophet, to whom He said “My Habib”, My beloved one. Among all creation, there is no one greater than him, more honourable than him, more valuable and more worthy than him...That is why as much as you honour our Prophet, Janabul Haqq is that much pleased by your honouring, presenting your respect and admiration to our Prophet (ﷺ). There is no limit for this. Mawlana ShakyhMuhammad Nazim Al-Haqqani QS
