About this event

In this fun and interactive 3-hour Learn to Meditate Workshop, you'll spend a nourishing afternoon with a group of like-minded women.

You'll learn how to set up a simple yet transformative meditation practice that nourishes your body, mind, and soul, starting with 5 minutes daily.

This comprehensive workshop is designed to give you the tools and knowledge to establish a meditation practice in the comfort of your own home and at the convenience of your schedule.

Meditation and mindfulness can lead to inner peace, creativity, inspiration, harmonious relationships, fulfillment, better health, and more.

You'll learn powerful, time-tested practices that are simple and easy to improve your health, calm your mind, and build your resilience to stress.

The workshop also includes the following:

  • An introduction to various meditation practices.
  • Discovering the physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of meditation.
  • Understanding the effects of stress: How it accumulates and how to release it.
  • Becoming intimate with the way your mind works.
  • Findings in neuroplasticity and the ways meditation changes your brain.
  • The five essentials for successful meditation.
  • Recent research findings on meditation.
  • The truth about multitasking.
  • Guided meditation and personalized instruction.
  • Peacefinder practices: What to do when you're stressed.
  • Course materials include a signed copy of the book Awakening a Woman's Soul: The Power of Meditation and Mindfulness to Transform Your Life.

By the end of the workshop, you will be empowered to begin your new meditation and mindfulness practice, which will help you thrive physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Here's what a couple of workshop participants had to say about the Workshop:

"I took the Learn to Meditate Workshop with Bev because I have wanted to learn more about meditation for a while now because I know how much I would benefit from it. I appreciated the two 10-minute guided meditations. I had never felt like I had done a successful meditation until then."

"Bev is absolutely awesome. She connected with us, shared a part of herself, and motivated me to learn. The Workshop helps you understand how to meditate on a personal level so that you can immediately feel the benefits. I would definitely recommend the Workshop to family/friends and clients."

Common questions:

Is meditation experience necessary?

No, this workshop is ideal if you have no experience with meditation. You'll also get a lot out of it if you've dabbled in meditation but would like to learn more about it.

What can I bring to the Workshop?

Wear something comfortable. You won't need a meditation cushion as most people prefer to meditate in a chair.

Where will the Workshop be held?

I've created the Fish Creek soul space in my home in SW Calgary. After registering for the workshop, you'll receive the address.

Who is Bev Janisch?

I’m a former Master’s-prepared Nurse turned Certified Integral Coach, Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher, and Author.

Over ten years ago, I began a short, simple daily meditation practice that changed my life. It started a journey home to myself and improved my health, relationships, and resilience. It helped me navigate everything from the stressors of everyday life to the deeper spiritual stress of what I call ‘soul hunger’—the feeling of being disconnected from yourself.

Now, I bring a holistic approach to my mindfulness life coaching and teaching, helping women feel calm, confident, and courageous. I specialize in working with awakening women and care deeply about the health of our bodies, minds and souls.
