About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Real Talk webinars are available to anyone interested in learning how to recognize domestic abuse, understand its impact, and develop comfort in responding to domestic abuse disclosures, in everyday contexts. We specifically discuss the invisibility of men's experiences of domestic abuse, and how can do a better job in our communities of both providing support and accountability for us.

In times of stress and community crisis, it is common for instances of domestic abuse to rise. Real Talk is a guide to help us understand and talk about domestic abuse. Learning how to talk about abuse isn’t fancy or complicated. Real Talk is just a real moment between two people, it isn’t about trying to fix things, it's about empowering change and bringing people together.

Real Talk is about:

Recognizing domestic abuse,

Empathizing with the person impacted by the abuse,

Asking them what they need, and

Listening without judgement.

Please join us at our next webinar to learn how to get real. In-person or online training is also available for organizations, teams and groups. Email trevor@sagesse.org to find out more.
