About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Shirley Cullum loves dahlias and gladiolus and for 50+ years she’s grown them. She is the president of the Alberta Dahlia and Gladiolus Society plus being involved with several other groups focusing on these plants.

An avid gardener all her adult life, she was inspired by her mom. Shirley gardens outside of Three Hills on Cullum Chicken Farm (with no chickens), and love to putter in her greenhouse experimenting with what can be coaxed to life in this climate.

The ADGS oversees the Piper Creek Trial Garden in Red Deer, the only Dahlia and Gladiolus trial-garden in Canada (Moving to Olds College in 2025).
