Fraz Mirza

From Islam to Christianity: what I learned going from being a Muslim, Christian, and Pastor

I will be sharing my story and some lessons for other Christians from my story.

Bio
Fraz was raised in a Muslim household near Montreal, Quebec. His early years were filled with family gatherings and mosque visits. After relocating to Hamilton, Ontario, he was invited to a church service in high school where he embraced Christ as his Saviour at the age of eighteen. In his third year of Bible college, he met my wife who was studying to be a teacher. Today they have four children, Evelyn, Judah, Faith, and Hope. The Mirza’s ministry journey has been diverse, including roles as youth pastors, young adults pastors, associate pastors, and leading two different congregations as lead pastors. Fraz is an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and holds a Bachelor's degree from Masters College and Seminary, and a Master's degree from McMaster Divinity College with a focus on missional evangelism and systems-minded leadership. Today, his passion is to preach the Gospel as an itinerant, preacher, teacher, and evangelist. When he’s not travelling, you can usually find him BBQing for his family or planning a family road trip!

God makes sense of Reality

A worldview is essentially a grid through which we interpret the information we receive from the world around us and the universe in which we find ourselves. Human beings have a strong desire to make sense of all this data. Can we make sense of it or is the universe absurd? In this talk we will examine the explanatory power of the worldviews of Atheism and Theism and demonstrate that the Judeo-Christian worldview is better at explaining reality than that of atheism. Q&A will follow.
