This year marks the 100th Anniversary of Mon Keang School. One of the oldest surviving Chinese language schools to still be operating in its original space.
Join us and the Hon Hsing Athletics Club in celebrating this momentous occasion by joining us for our famous school picnics where there will be food, performances, games and many more!
Location: Confederation Park Picnic Area #1 (covered area). Parking is on Beta Avenue.
Costs: $15.00 + $2.31online processing fee
What is included in registration: Lunch (fried chicken & fries, or veg sushi combo) snacks (fruit, chips, dessert), cold drinks (pop, water), ice cream, and games for all ages. There will also be performances by the Hon Hsing Athletic Club of Vancouver.
What to expect: Registration starts at 11:30am. Lunch is served at 12:00. Program continues until 2:00pm. You are welcome to stay longer - we have the picnic site reserved for your use until the park closes at 8pm.
What else is in the park: Washrooms, Spray park, playground, tennis, basketball, model train ride ($4.50)
What to bring: You may wish to bring your own chairs, plus a towel if you or your children/grandchildren wish to use the spray park! If you prefer hot drinks, please supply your own. Plus, bring any additional items your family may need if you want to stay past the organized picnic.
What to wear: Casual, outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather. Mon Keang t-shirts are encouraged. If you purchase a shirt with your picnic registration, the order will be ready for you to pickup at the picnic registration table.
