Taste of the Caribbean in a brand-new co-presentation with Nouvelle Vie, and in co-production with The Mahaba Youth Alliance, present the ‘MONTRÉAL RISE REGGAE FESTIVAL’ this August 8-10th, 2025 at the Bassin Peel quay in Griffintown. A long-awaited project, Montréal’s reggae scene can once again rise to the occasion of having a 3-day long festival with international artists.

The festival will feature an intimate full-scale live band production of artists from a wide range of reggae and reggae-influenced genres of music, such as dancehall, soca, reggaeton, as well as afro-beat, konpa, and zouk. Artists from the province of Quebec and across Canada, will also have special performances during the festivities.

TASTE OF THE CARIBBEAN IS AN EXOTIC EXPERIENCE FOR ALL YOUR SENSES!

What started out back in 1999 as a small 1 day all-you-can eat indoor ticketed food event, has now [2015 onward] turned into a large 4 days of FREE outdoor music, arts, food, and culture festival of over 96,000+ attendees and growing!

From Jamaica’s famous reggae sounds and jerk chicken dishes to the spiced rums mixologies and contests, as well as soca artists of Barbados and Trinidad, zuk/konpa acts from Haiti, reggaeton latin sounds from Cuba, kids zone activities for all ages, our ‘One Love’ tent for special music industry and Caribbean educational/historical workshops, we invite patrons to submerse themselves in Caribbean culture, right here at the Old-Port of Montreal and our other activities across Canada!
