Welcome to East African Culture Night!

Come join us on Thu Nov 21, 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Sunalta Community Association for a night filled with delicious food, engaging conversation, and exciting performances celebrating the rich and diverse culture of East Africa!

This event draws inspiration from our shared heritages, inviting you to engage in conversations about our experiences living in Calgary, building connections within the community, and learning about resources in the community and sharing our stories through our World Cafe discussions.

We also encourage you to attend this event in clothing that you feel represents you and your identity! Whether that is cultural dress from your home country or a t shirt with a powerful message, come as you are. All are welcome at this event, no matter who you are or where you're from! Enjoy this opportunity to celebrate diversity, build community, and experience the warmth and richness of East African culture. We look forward to seeing you there and consider signing up to be a part of our cultural fashion show during the event!

This event is a wonderful opportunity to meet your neighbours while learning more about the East African community in a thoughtful and fun atmosphere.
