About this event

This 4- part series, led by Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists from Propel Physiotherapy, showcases a variety of ways a person can remain physically active despite having barriers to formal exercise routines. Modifying exercises, using what is available at home, and taking into account symptoms from previous injuries are what this series is all about. We will show you full body movement that you can do, at your own pace, which can provide wonderful therapeutic benefits for your energy levels throughout the day. In addition, a focus on upper extremity mobility, stretching, strengthening, and hand exercises will be highlighted throughout the series.

We can all benefit from a little movement throughout the day. Join us, and let's start this journey together!

About Hoong Phang, Registered Physiotherapist and Managing Director:

Hoong Phang believes that every person is capable of improving their current physical situation. He is passionate about developing unique strategies through critical analysis and assessment to help his clients achieve their personal goals. This client-centered approach helps to guide his physiotherapy practice. He is consistently fine-tuning his clients’ sessions and discovering new ways to access their goals despite physical or mental barriers.

His experience in varsity sports, and working as a research assistant alongside physiotherapists at McMaster University gave him a close look at the role rehabilitation experts play in improving the lives of people with injuries and disabilities. Those experiences shaped his perspective on the importance of health-related quality of life. It also helped him to choose his career path.

In his off hours, Hoong can be found challenging himself at the gym, on the court, or on long hikes. He enjoys shopping for fresh, local produce at the market, and exploring different parts of the world. Spending time with family and friends, especially when delicious food is involved, is what he loves most.
