ABOUT THE ARTIST
Nastasia Y blends ancient Slavic folk with jazz and funk, inspired by her Kyiv roots and her late father’s protest songs. A standout at the Toronto Jazz Festival, and a 2025 Canadian Folk Music Awards nominee for her latest album, Kyiv Soul, Nastasia channels ancestral voices to turn trauma into soulful resistance, opening hearts to global struggles. Pronunciation: nas-TA-s’yah

Joining Nastasia is Andrew McAnsh, an award-winning multi-instrumentalist and Berklee Global Jazz Institute graduate. A top Canadian trumpet voice, he has performed with Esperanza Spalding and Larnell Lewis, adding his Sicilian and Métis roots to her music.
