About this event

  • Event lasts 1 day 8 hours

This is the nation’s largest conference on Physical Activity & Wellness for First Nations, Métis and Inuit people, created for all of those with an interest in sports, recreation, fitness, and traditional activity. Join us at UBC Point Grey Campus that is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam) People.

We are excited to bring together over 20 diverse leader voices at NIPAW 2025, where they will share perspectives on the vital role of Indigenous knowledge and community based practices that enhance wellness. Through traditional activities, sports, recreation, and fitness, this event will celebrate the power of Indigenous teachings in building physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and well-being. Together, we aim to highlight the importance of physical activity practices in building wholistic health and wellness in communities.

Join us in honouring the history, culture, and traditions of Indigenous knowledge to inspire positive change in health and wellness today.

This gathering is more than a conference—it’s a space to connect, learn, and celebrate together. Let’s come together to create a brighter future by embracing and promoting wholistic approaches to wellness. Be part of the movement at www.iactive.ca.
