Have a fun afternoon with fibre artist and instructor Cathy Disbrow by learning to needle felt your very own sheep puff figure. This little sheep is made by stabbing wool with a special felting needle to keep those fibres in place. This workshop is a great way to learn the art of sculpting with wool. Students will also learn how to properly attach the curly wool locks. And to top it off, you get to make a small carrot for sheep to chew! Great workshop for a beginner and all levels of felters.

Some of the wool you’ll use is from the Village’s very own flock of Border Leicester sheep. Before and after the workshop, you will be able to meet the sheep in their field enclosure.

Workshop ticket includes free admission to explore the village. Village opens at 11:00 a.m.

Cost: $75.00 - Materials are included in the price. This includes 2 felting needles, wool, and curly wool locks. Foam felting pads are provided for students to use during the workshop and can be purchased separately.

If you have any questions, please email instructor Cathy at cathy@woollydoodles.com.

Cathy sculpts her unique creations by connecting wool fibers: whether it’s stabbing wool with a barbed needle OR using hot water and agitation. She's been an artist her entire life working in craft, digital art, and hand drawn illustrations. She likes working with wool because it’s organic, making each creation unique. With a love for animals and the outdoors, felting was an obvious choice for her as an artistic medium, because she can sculpt nature art using natural materials. She enjoys spreading the love of felting through workshops and DIY craft kits. Cathy's been needle felting since 2014 and teaching to eager students since 2016.
