About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Get into the holiday spirit by learning the art of needle felting. Learn the magic of turning wool fluff into a solid Santa figure using a special needle. Students will learn how to create Santa’s body, add facial features, and how to properly attach his beard. Santa is approx. 4″ tall.

Some of the wool you’ll use is from the Village’s very own flock of Border Leicester sheep. Before and after the workshop, you will be able to meet the sheep in their field enclosure.

Workshop ticket includes free admission to explore the village.

Cost: $70.00 - Materials are included in the price. This includes 2 felting needles and wool to make your Santa. Foam felting pads are provided for students to use during the workshop and can be purchased separately.

If you have any questions, please email instructor Cathy at cathy@woollydoodles.com.

Organized by

Cathy sculpts her unique creations by connecting wool fibers: whether it’s stabbing wool with a barbed needle OR using hot water and agitation. She's been an artist her entire life working in craft, digital art, and hand drawn illustrations. She likes working with wool because it’s organic, making each creation unique. With a love for animals and the outdoors, felting was an obvious choice for her as an artistic medium, because she can sculpt nature art using natural materials. She enjoys spreading the love of felting through workshops and DIY craft kits. Cathy's been needle felting since 2014 and teaching to eager students since 2016.
