Target Audience: This interprofessional program is intended for health care providers who want to learn the fundamental concepts of neonatal resuscitation.

Description: The program consists of 2 parts.

Self-Study of the 8th edition Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation (2021) and successful completion of the NRP online examination including the Provider Exam Evaluation is required prior to attending the course.

Participation in the one day, hands on course.

Evaluation:

To successfully complete the course and obtain a Course Completion Card, you must:

- Complete the online examination, using the link provided, within 30 days of your scheduled NRP Provider Course. Note - all participants are required to complete Chapters 1 through 11. This is compulsory.

- Demonstrate mastery of resuscitation skills in the Integrated Skills Station

- Participate in simulated resuscitation scenarios, as determined by the course instructors.

Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) reserves the right to cancel any course due to under-enrollment, instructor illness or inclement weather.

If a course is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, TBRHSC will attempt to reschedule on the earliest possible date(s) available, TBRHSC is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by attendees due to cancellation or rescheduling.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

A $175 fee will be applied if a participant cancels within 2 weeks (14 days) or less of the course date or if the participant fails to attend the course.

You may also request a one-time transfer to a later course (if space available). However, if you choose this option and are unable to attend the course you transferred to, no refund will be issued.
