About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

The Nonprofit Resiliency Project, a program of the London Environmental Network, works to retrofit multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs) owned by low-income nonprofit organizations with new and emerging sustainable technologies. With these upgrades, these buildings can become more efficient, safer, comfortable, and resilient places that can better anticipate, prepare for and adapt to changing climate conditions.

We are thrilled to announce that we have retrofitted 1 building in need and wish to welcome you to the site as we unveil the retrofits for the first time! Updates include: air sealing, attic insulation, green infrastructure, solar array, and more! Hear from the individuals who participated in the project, including contractors who completed the work, learn more about the social, economic and environmental benefits of sustainable upgrades, enjoy great food and network with like-minded folks!

    Important Information:

Parking: Street parking is available in the area. We will have staff on-site to direct traffic. We encourage you to consider alternative modes of transportation, including walking or biking or to consider carpooling.

Food: Upon arrival, attendees will receive a voucher for a free item at New Leaf, a plant-based food truck which will be parked on-site. The food truck will be open for the duration of the event to accommodate the number of attendees.

Reminders: The event will take place outdoors as the property is a residential home. Temporary washrooms will be available. Please dress appropriately for the summer weather. We kindly ask that you do not attempt to enter the home.

In the event of poor weather conditions, the event will be rescheduled to a future date. Details will be provided in advance.
