What happens in Writing Circles?

IGNITE YOUR CREATIVITY: We write to prompts designed to spark deep self-expression, encouraging you to explore the hidden layers of your authentic voice.

WRITING IN CONNECTION: While your writing journey remains personal, we share a space of collective support where your voice can safely emerge and expand.

BRAVE SHARING: If it feels right, you’re invited to share what you’ve written. There’s no pressure—only a safe space to be heard, if you choose.

EMPOWERING REFLECTIONS: We listen deeply and reflect back what resonates—what’s strong, clear, or moving—celebrating the beauty in each person’s words.

What You Won’t Find Here:

NO CRITIQUE: This space is about empowering and amplifying your voice, not judging it. Feedback focuses on strengths, not what’s “wrong.”

NO RULES OF TECHNIQUE: We celebrate your voice as it naturally flows, without trying to mold it into rigid forms or literary techniques.

NO ‘TEACHING’: We’re here to witness and honor your creative genius, to unearth what’s already within, rather than impose external rules or lessons.

Regular Meetings: Meet every two weeks in person to write, share, and support each other. Location details below. (1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month).

Who is this group for?

For anyone who wants to explore their authentic voice through writing. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting, this group is for those who seek personal growth, healing, and transformation through self-expression.

Do I need prior writing experience?

No, our group is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to writers of all levels. The focus is on self-expression and healing, not on perfecting your writing skills. There is no technical critique of your work or publishing advice given.

What do I bring?

Whatever you wish to write with. Paper and a pen or your laptop or tablet. (Writing implements are not provided.) Bring a project you are currently writing or one you would like to begin. No prompts are offered.

This is NOT a therapy group

THIS IS NOT A THERAPY GROUP. While you are welcome to write about anything you wish, including past challenges, traumas, joys and triumphs, space will be held to celebrate your courage in expressing your voice. We will not be doing active therapy practices during this time.
