Opening the Heart - Joy of Living Level 2

In this in-person meditation workshop, we will learn how meditating on loving-kindness and compassion can open our hearts to the world around us and relax the self-centred tendencies that lead to anxiety, dissatisfaction, and suffering. Cultivation loving-kindness and compassion helps us to see the basic goodness that all beings share. By relating to others in an open-hearted way, we bring peace to the mind and develop a sense of confidence and purpose. This, in turn, naturally brings harmony to our relationships and enables us to work with challenging situations for effectively.
This workshop includes video teachings by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, short presentations on the key points of meditation practice by Tsuma Fazun, as well as guided meditations and discussion.
This workshop is open to meditators who have previously attended a Calming the Mind: Joy of Living 1 meditation workshop/retreat or a Joy of Living 1 program online, and meet the 50 hours practice requirements. If you come from another tradition and feel you may meet the pre-requisite meditation study and practice requirements, please contact us.
After-class practice: 50 hours of formal practice. It is recommended to practice for 20 minutes every day. After completing 50 hours, you can advance to Joy of Living level 3 program.

Suggested Donations
Basic: $145 - This covers the actual cost of the program.
Sponsor: $200 - This level allows us to offer a reduced price to those on a limited income.
Reduced: $90 - Reduced fee for those on a limited income (e.g. full-time students, seniors)
Repeated: $90 - Special fee for those have previously attended a Joy of Living 2 workshop.

開心禪二階簡介 –「打開你的心」
第二階「開心禪」中,明就仁波切教導我們如何禪修愛、慈悲喜捨四無量心的開展。
因為當體會平靜後,我們理解「心」是充滿了無限的特質,讓我們逐漸去除「我執」
–這痛苦的根源,對所處的世界敞開心胸,以正向的心智力量面對這個世界。
在這套課程中,你會學習:
*看見我執所造成的焦慮:我們追求自身的快樂,造成焦慮和痛苦。
*以愛與慈悲消除不滿足:找出不滿足的成因,並以正面力量取代負向思考。
*如何培養正向心智能力:如何藉著禪修,培養正面的心智狀態來待人處世。
*將問題與困難轉化為慈悲:如何運用禪修練習,將煩惱、身體疼痛等「負面」因素,轉化為同理心和悲心的源泉。

報讀要求:已完成開心禪一階完整課程及50個小時座上練習。
課後練習: 50個小時座上練習。
建議每天固定練習20分鐘,完成50小時後,可以進階學習第三階開心禪課程。
