Paint With Flowers - Special Event with Sasha Shepperd
Come join us at Makers Studio & Art Market for a unique event with the talented artist Sasha Shepperd! Let your creativity bloom as you paint with real flowers in this hands-on workshop. Sasha will guide you through creating your own masterpiece using petals and leaves as your paintbrush. No experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm and love for art! Don't miss out on this special opportunity to explore a new way of painting.
This event is being held on the same day as the Garlic Fest, another must-see event. Come to this class and take in both events!
The schedule for this class is as follows:
Part 1:
Introduction to art of flower pressing;
This session will start with crush course on pressing technique. Sasha will bring her handmade from recycle materials press, explain how to build a press, show all materials needed for pressing flowers, and show how to press a few different varieties of flowers.
Students will learn a few tricks and secrets of successful flower pressing and storing pressed flowers.
This part will take about 20-30 minutes.
Part 2:
“Paining with flowers”
Make you own Botanical collage (8x10”) ready to frame
Sasha will provide all necessary materials (fresh flowers, hand pressed local flowers, watercolor paper, brush and glue , and frame 8x10”) and most importantly gentle guide through creating piece of art ready to frame.
She’ll talk about composition, how to embrace your creative selves and create your own unique art.
