Parents of Black Children: Black Community Consultations: Guelph

We invite members of the Black community to participate in a critical consultation process focused on developing a comprehensive framework to address the systemic barriers and anti-Black racism affecting Black children and their families in the education system. While we acknowledge the experiences of anti-Black racism, this consultation will prioritize identifying what needs to be considered in creating a structure that leads to sustainable change. Our goal is to collaborate with parents, students, and advocates to outline key strategies, resources, and policies that can effectively challenge the inequities Black children face. Your input will be instrumental in ensuring that the solutions we build are community-centred, equitable, and actionable.
