A perfectly normal couple have just moved into a nice suburban neighbourhood, so they do the perfectly normal thing and invite all of their nice suburban neighbours over for a perfectly normal dinner party. Fortunately, none of the attendees has any weird secrets, hidden agendas, or burning grudges. The sorts of hijinks that could otherwise ensue are, quite frankly, appalling.

Perfectly Normal Dinner Party is a lighthearted and absurdly comedic freeform larp for 6 to 13 players. No prior experience is required, and advance preparation is minimal. May not be suitable for players who are, themselves, perfectly normal.

The event will begin at 7 pm with final preparation and an overview of LARP etiquette, focusing on comfort and consent during play. Following this orientation, we'll all get into character and begin the dinner party proper!

We welcome you to arrive at 6:30 to settle in and order food and drink before the orientation begins (though our kitchen and bar will also be open throughout the evening).

Please complete your Casting Survey as soon as you can after receiving it! The early-bird casting deadline is Friday, April18th, and the general deadline is Monday, April 21st. (Tickets purchased after the 21st will be cast prior to the event from the remaining roles.)

What is a live-action roleplay (LARP)?

Think of it like a murder mystery night, or a Dungeons & Dragons one-shot all about immersive role-play. No foam swords required!

What do I do to prepare?

Once you buy your ticket, we'll send you a Casting Survey to complete. The questions there will help us select the best role for you to play. Please complete it by the deadline, and we'll send you your character in advance. Then, all that's left to do is attend our Perfectly Normal Dinner Party!

Can I dress up as my character?

Of course! We encourage you to embrace your temporary identity and dress the part. After all, you wouldn't wear less than your (perfectly normal) best to a dinner party... would you?

Will dinner actually be served?

You're welcome to order food and drink to enjoy while you're here, just as you would on a regular game night. Our full menu will be available. The staff will be playing the role of perfectly normal caterers, hired by the perfecty normal hosts. It will be our pleasure to serve you.

Can I attend if I've played in this LARP before?

As long as you can be considerate about not spoiling the fun for those attending their first Perfectly Normal Dinner Party, then yes! You're welcome to come dine with us again. Your casting will take into account the fact you've played before.
