Join Us for a Fun and Impactful Community Planting Day at Park Ave Farm!
You're invited to roll up your sleeves and dig into a great cause—help us plant tomatoes, squash, cucumber and raspberries for the community Good Food Box and the kids of SD68 & 69!
When: Friday June 20th, Friday June 27th and Friday July 4th, Friday July 11th

On Day 1 (20th) Join us for tomato planting, trellising and pruning tomatoes on the 20th. Learn all about what is needed to grow an amazing tomato harvest. These tomatoes will be used for our Let's Eat! Kids Cooking classes and fermented salsa workshop in partnership with Community Kitchens!
On Day 2 (27th) Join us for seeding kale, lettuce, cabbagefor the Good Food Box! Learn all about what is needed to plant and grow these tasty staples!
On Day 3 (July 4th) Join us to learn about spacing, weeding and top dressing! We will be doing some planting for the kids of SD68 & 69 to enjoy during our School Farm Field Trips and Summer Camps!
On Day 4 (July 11th) Join us to learn about Garlic! Harvesting Garlic is so much fun! There certainly is an art to it.
The farm features a gentle slope with uneven ground—gardening tools and accessibility supports will be available to ensure everyone can take part. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle and a snack—we’ll take a break and enjoy a bite together in this beautiful outdoor space.
