Session Format

The virtual course will be held as an 8-hour workshop delivered in four parts: August 7, 14, 21, 28 (2025)

Each session will run for 2 hours from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. EST

An eight-hour workshop offered in four parts to help facilities prepare for their first accreditation assessment event, or to prepare for a re-assessment.

Topics covered include:

• Working with your Accreditation Canada Staff Technologist and our electronic tools
• A comprehensive look at the accreditation requirements (including quality management systems and people-centred care)
• Conducting your own readiness checks, pre-assessment submissions
• What to expect on the assessment days
• Responding to your assessment report and maintaining accreditation.

It is intended for leaders or directors of a medical laboratory or diagnostic medicine service who want to elevate their quality management system.

The sessions will be interactive, relevant, and practical. You will leave us with tools, tips and invaluable insight about the accreditation process.
