Join us for a unique healing movement class (similar to Tai Chi) that cultivates more energy and less stress and offers a profound sense of rejuvenation. We end the class with relaxing Sound Healing, a therapeutic experience like no other.
QiGong is a healing movement practice with its roots in Chinese Medicine. This ancient practice offers an antidote to our often fast-paced and stressful modern lifestyles. It allows us to slow down, reconnect, and activate our body-mind's innate healing response.
Anika from Ocean&Moon teaches this Eastern healing art in a way that is accessible and tailored to our Western minds and bodies. No experience is required, making it a perfect opportunity for newcomers to explore the benefits of QiGong and Sound Healing.
Qi (~chee) means life force energy; Gong means skill. QiGong can be translated as "a skillful way to work with our internal life force energy." The practice is known for its flowing movements, gentle stretches, mindfulness, breath awareness and acupressure-self-massage. It's similar to Tai Chi but much easier to learn.
Please bring your water bottle and a yoga mat (if you have one). The QiGong movement practice is done mainly in a standing position, and you can be barefoot on the mat or wear comfortable shoes. The final sound healing relaxation is done lying down, and we provide bolsters and blankets for your comfort.
