About this event

You are invited to participate in a consultation session to help shape the City of Waterloo’s first Reconciliation, Accessibility and Equity Strategy.

The City of Waterloo’s Reconciliation, Equity, Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion (READI) team is working with an external consultant, Taylor Newberry Consulting, to develop the City’s new Reconciliation, Accessibility and Equity Strategy and Implementation Plan. We would like to further the conversations the team has had in the past with members of equity-deserving groups, and engage the most impacted members of the community early on in the strategic planning process. Your voice and input are invaluable as we work together to address many of the challenges, barriers, and gaps in services that the team has identified through their work.

The consultation session will be offered in a hybrid format, in-person with the option to join online. Refreshments will be provided at the in-person location, and interpretation services will be available upon request.

You will be compensated for your time with a $75 honorarium by request after the event.

    Location details:

Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex Community Pavilion is located at 101 Father David Bauer Drive. The consultation will be held upstairs in Room 200, which is accessible by stairs or elevator. The space includes fluorescent lights, large windows, and potentially loud sounds related to groups or public speaking.
