Frequently asked questions

What should I wear and what should I bring?

Wear warm winter clothing: a good winter jacket, boots, gloves, hat, and loose warm layers. Wear your swimsuit attire underneath your clothing to make it seamless to get into the water and get changed after on the beach. Bring a yoga mat, and a towel. A warm beverage is a great bonus!

Can I attend or raise funds, and not go into the water?

Yes. The cold plunge is an invitation to challenge yourself. You may attend and are encouraged to raise funds for a great cause regardless of whether you enter the water.

How long is the cold plunge?

There is no expectation to stay in the water any longer than you feel comfortable. We are welcoming participants to challenge themselves to stay for up to 2 minutes in the water with their community.
