Join children's book illustrator Salini Perera as she shares her experiences navigating the world of publishing as a person of colour. From her personal journey to the importance of diversity in children's books, Salini will discuss how her background has influenced her work and why authentic representation matters. She will also share insights on creating inclusive illustrations and the challenges and rewards of making art that reflects all children.

Salini Perera is the Osborne Collection's first Illustrator in Residence. This exciting program series has been generously sponsored by the Friends of the Osborne Collection.

This free event will be held on the lower level of the Lillian H. Smith Branch in the Auditorium.

Doors will open at 6:00 pm and the event will start at 6:30 pm. No registration is required. Everyone is welcome.
