Welcome to the Simcoe Rotary Holiday House Tour 2024!

Join us for a festive day exploring beautifully decorated new and historical homes in Norfolk County. This year's event takes us to Port Rowan, Walsingham, and Long Point. Running both Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm, enjoy a self guided tour at your own pace, starting at the home of your choice.

Join us for a separate ticketed event at 2:30pm on either Saturday or Sunday, Rum Running on Lake Erie - Blind Pigs and Midnight Herring. Former curator of the Port Dover Harbour Museum Ian Bell will present his entertaining tales on rum running on the great lakes during prohibition. Enjoy the tales, collection of vintage images, and maybe a bit of song!

Frequently asked questions

Where can I purchase tickets?

Tickets for the Holiday House Tour are available through Eventbrite, in person at our retail partner locations (see above), or at tour homes during the hours of the tour. Tickets for Ian Bell's talk are available on Eventbrite or at the door of Neal Memorial Church before the talk starts.

What house do I start at?

You may start your tour at any home, and tour in any order, stopping at as many homes as you like! Be sure to visit our rest stop location, Neal Memorial Church in Port Rowan.

Can I attend both days of the house tour?

Yes, you can attend both or either day of the tour with your ticket. Not able to tour all of the homes in one day? You are welcome to divide the tour between the two days!

How long should I plan for the tour?

As a self-guided tour, you can plan to visit as many or as few of the homes as you like, for as long as you need. We recommend planning at least two hours to complete the tour.

Is there accessible parking available?

As the tour locations are private homes, we cannot guarantee accessible parking or entrances to the tour homes. Parking is provided in the home driveways and along the road close to the homes, where possible. Parking at Neal Memorial Church is street parking with no dedicated accessible spots.

What else do I need to know?

On the house tour you are visiting private homes that have been graciously opened to you by their owners! We request no video or photography, and no outside food or drink while touring the homes. Thank you for your understanding!

Do I need to bring indoor shoes?

At the first home you visit, you will be provided a bag to place your shoes in while you tour the inside of the home. Be prepared to remove your shoes while visiting inside!

What happens to the funds that are raised by the house tour?

The Holiday House Tour is a fundraiser organized by the Rotary Club of Simcoe. Funds support local projects, scholarships for students from Norfolk County, and grants to community organizations. You can read more about the Rotary Club of Simcoe at simcoerotaryclub.com
