About this event

    The privilege of self-regulation in the medical profession comes with the responsibility to protect patients and is a shared responsibility of every physician in the province.

    Join Dr. Ainslie Mihalchuk, Deputy Registrar for CPSM and Dr. Ian Alexander, MCFP Continuing Education and Research Chair, for a conversation on the complexities of self-regulation and why it matters to family physicians.

    This webinar will debunk self-regulation myths by identifying CPSM’s duties, consider the alternative if the privilege to self-regulate is removed from the profession, and empower physicians to embrace their role in self-regulating the medical profession.

    Webinar participants can expect to:

    • Identify what self-regulating behaviour looks like in practice;
    • Identify opportunities and tools for engaging in self-regulation;
    • Learn how to hold ourselves and other physicians accountable when necessary.
