About this event

When we race our sailboats The Racing Rules of Sailing normally replace the Collision Regulations under the Canada Shipping Act. This seminar will present Part 2 (When Boats Meet) of the Racing Rules of Sailing as it applies to club-level racing.

Both novice and experienced racers can benefit from this seminar, but to get full benefit, attendees should bring a copy of the 2021-2024 Racing Rules of Sailing or download a copy at https://www.sailing.org/inside-world-sailing/rules-regulations/racing-rules-of-sailing/

If you download a copy you only need print the Definitions and Part 2.

The Seminar will be led by Warren Nethercote, a former international judge and past Chair of the Sail Canada Racing Rules Appeals Committee.

Open to members and guests. Preregistration is required. The registration cutoff is April 4th at 12pm. This seminar is free.
