10-11am Yoga for Stability & Strength 60min
Join Janelle for a rejuvenating experience! This class:
- uses current movement science and fascia activation to develop healthy movement patterns so you can avoid underuse and overuse injuries (it is crazy to think that underuse injuries are now more prevalent than overuse injuries!)
- can be applied to all other physical activities you do and can improve your strength quickly
- creates optimal joint positions, better balance, movement efficiency and healthy function over the long term
- gives your nervous system the information it needs to stabilize your joints and feel your body and lets you access your full strength. When your nervous system knows you are stable it can let go of chronic tension and stiffness

11:30am-12:45pm Pilates with Heidi 75min
Join Heidi for a dynamic Pilates class designed to invigorate your body and rejuvenate your mind.
Discover the power of precise movement, elevate your strength, enhance flexibility and prioritize injury prevention through controlled movement by emphasizing smaller muscle groups and enhancing posture through a series of controlled, flowing movements.

Whether you’re a seasoned Pilates enthusiast or new to the practice, Heidi’s expert guidance will help you reconnect with your body, relieve stress and boost overall vitality. Expect a refreshing blend of energizing exercises and restorative stretches, leaving you feeling balanced, revitalized, and ready to take on the day. Perfect for all fitness levels!
What to bring: yoga mat, water and small tea mug.

1-1:45pm Sleep Yoga: Yoga Nidra & Sound Healing 45min
Yoga nidra means “yogic sleep” and is a guided meditative experience that moves the body and mind into deeper rest and healing. It allows you to access brainwaves that are responsible for the healing and restoration that happens in your body during deep sleep.
Settle into deep replenishment and reduce stress on your body and mind. Janelle will be guiding this session that will be accompanied by music and then will finish with a soundbath with crystal bowls, chimes, a rain stick and an ocean drum. There will be an optional Christmas Spirit essential oil offered to enjoy as well.
What to bring: yoga mat, 2 blankets, bolster, eye cover, water and small tea mug.


Introducing Heidi Schaepsmeier

Heidi is a certified Pilates instructor and Yoga teacher RYT500 with over 4000 hours teaching experience. She is an Ayurvedic consultant and her passion is to inform and support people of all ages to live an active and strong life by incorporating routines of Pilates, Yoga and Ayurveda.

Being a practicing Registered Massage Therapist for 30 years allows her to integrate and consider physical limitations and restrictions and work towards increasing quality of movement. She supports others in living a life that is closely aligned with their true self, combining movement and stillness and thus creating authentic well-being.

She has hosted workshops in Canada and overseas and is passionate about her work.

Introducing Janelle Ford

Janelle Ford has a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Alberta specializing in Active Living, Health & Well-being which then led her into personal training, athletic training and strength and conditioning coaching for mens lacrosse teams. Yoga came into her life when dealing with chronic stress and burnout so she decided to take a teacher training for personal growth but that quickly turned into teaching and then owning a wellness studio! She has completed numerous trainings including a 500HR YTT, yin yoga, restorative yoga, aroma yoga, trauma sensitive yoga, yoga nidra, movement template, meditation, healthy aging & sound healing.

She is the founder of Pigeon Lake Wellness Mobile Studio and offers mobile classes and retreats at a variety of locations at the lake and in Edmonton.

She loves supporting others through fun gatherings, connection and in their overall wellness & longevity. She teaches with the hope that she can help others experience the many benefits that come from intentional and functional movement. She is passionate about supporting people in their mobility so that they can maintain their health and independence their entire life. And most importantly that they feel lifted, loved, supported and cared for each time they step on to their mat.
