Fear Factor Challenge - Think you've got what it takes? Face your fears at our Fear Factor-inspired station for the bravest partygoers - including insect-eating, dissections and challenges.

Haunted Dome Theatre: Creepy Cosmos - Step into our haunted Dome Theatre for a spine-tingling journey through the cosmos. Discover the darker side of space with eerie storytelling and visuals that will send chills down your spine.

Live DJ - Dance the night away to spooky beats from our DJ Mucky Ebanz. From Halloween classics to electrifying hits, we’ve got the music to keep you grooving all night.

Costume Contest with Fang-tastic Prizes - Show off your best costume for a chance to win killer prizes! Whether you're creepy, cute, or downright terrifying, come dressed to impress.

Sip on Spirits – Good Robot Brewing will be serving up drinks all night long. Sip while you explore and enjoy all the night has to offer.

Tickets are for ages 19+ only, and non-refundable.

Included in your ticket: Your ticket grants you access to all event areas, including the live science demos, the Dome Theatre, DJ dance floor, fear factor challenge, and special activities. Drinks are available for purchase with card.

Frequently asked questions

Is a government issued ID required upon entry?

Yes, this event is for adults 19+ only. You will be asked to show valid ID upon entry by security.

Are Costumes Mandatory?

Costumes are strongly encouraged but not mandatory. However, wearing one will allow you to participate in the costume contest and adds to the fun atmosphere of the event!

Is alcohol available at the event?

Yes, there will be a cash(less) bar available. You must be 19+ to purchase and consume alcohol, and ID will be required.

Can I purchase tickets at the door?

Tickets are limited and may sell out in advance. We recommend purchasing them online to secure your spot. If available, tickets will be sold at the door for a higher price via Event Brite.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes, the Discovery Centre is fully accessible. Please contact us in advance if you require any specific accommodations.

Is there parking available?

Discovery Centre does not have designated parking, but you can find pay and display lots on Marginal Road and Lower Water Street including Halifax Seaport, Cunard, and Via Rail Halifax locations. You may also find metered street parking close-by on Morris Street, Hollis Street, and Terminal Road.

What should I do if I lose something at the event?

Lost and found items will be kept at the front desk. After the event, you can contact the Discovery Centre to inquire about lost items.

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

Unfortunately, all ticket sales are final. However, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person.
