This class starts on Feb 6th
Every Thursday in February & March at 2pm join us for a 1-hour chair-based fitness class designed for seniors as well as individuals with limited mobility, those managing health challenges, or recovering from an injury. This welcoming and supportive class focuses on improving your strength, balance, and overall wellness.
Led by experienced Kinesiologist Persis Meisters, who brings over 15 years of expertise in movement, health, and wellness, you'll benefit from a tailored program that includes:
- Strength and balance exercises to reduce the risk of falls.
- Endurance and flexibility training to support daily activities.
- Coordination drills to enhance overall mobility.
- Health education tips to empower you in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Persis previously led a highly popular seniors program in West Kelowna, attracting over 80 participants in each class, and helping countless individuals improve their strength.
The first six weeks of the program are free for seniors. After this period, each class will cost $5 per participant for Joe Rich residents. This fee allows us to continue offering affordable and meaningful programming to the community while staying within our budget.
