During this class, Laura Gilmour of Wild Muskoka will share with participants the fascinating ecology of mushrooms and role they play in the natural world and human history. She will walk participants through the steps to learn how to safely and accurately identify mushrooms. After the introduction session, we will explore the land as a group and talk about to how to assess habitats for good mushroom hunting, see what species are fruiting and discuss their edible or medicinal potential. Join us for a fun afternoon of mushroom exploration! Come dressed for the weather with sturdy footwear for walking off-trail.


Cancellations & Refunds

The class runs rain or shine unless severe weather is in the forecast. Cancellations will be announced the night before the program by 8:00pm to allow for participant planning. In the case of cancellation by the organizer students will recieve a full refund. Refunds minus Eventbrite service fee will be permitted up to 48 hours from the start of the program. There are no refunds for no-shows or last minute cancellations.
