About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join us for an inspiring and therapeutic evening at "Spill & Paint," a unique event hosted by the student club Stronger Than Stigma. This gathering is designed to foster a supportive community while promoting mental well-being through the powerful combination of art and conversation.

Date: Friday, October 4th
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: Art Nook, 7th floor in Hall Building

At Spill & Paint, students will have the opportunity to engage in a creative and open-hearted dialogue about mental health. The event invites participants to express their emotions and experiences through painting, while also sharing their stories and connecting with others in a meaningful way.

Here's what to expect:

  • Creative Expression: Grab a paintbrush and let your imagination flow. Whether you’re an experienced artist or a complete beginner, painting will serve as a therapeutic outlet for your thoughts and feelings.
  • Meaningful Conversations: Engage in candid and supportive discussions with fellow students. Share your experiences, listen to others, and build connections in a judgment-free environment.
  • Community Building: Strengthen bonds with peers who understand and empathize with the challenges of mental health. Together, we’ll work towards creating a supportive network that aligns with our club's mission of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.

Come and be a part of this enriching experience where art meets conversation. Let’s create, connect, and cultivate a community that champions mental wellness.

All supplies and refreshments will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there and joining us in our journey towards a stronger, stigma-free future.

Please make sure to RSVP by getting a FREE Ticket. For more information, please contact @stsconcordia on Instagram

Organized by

1. Decrease the stigma surrounding mental illness.
2. Increase mental health literacy among the student population.
3. Promote self-care on campus.
The primary objectives of the club are to organize various events, wellness workshops, and speaker sessions with professionals in the field throughout the semester. We will cultivate a non-judgemental environment for all students to discuss their struggles with mental health. Moreover, we will strive to bring mental health into everyday student conversations. Too many students suffer in silence; we have the potential to remind them that they are not alone.
