After a brief introduction to mushroom basics, the group (up to 10 people) will walk the trails of Pacific Spirit Park for one hour, led by field-guide author Tom Cervenka. Participants will learn how to identify some common edible mushrooms as they are encountered during the walk. This walk is for learning and identification purposes, not for collecting mushrooms. Tom Cervenka will be leading the foray. He is the author of "Wild Edible Mushrooms of British Columbia" as well as a number of other publications relating to wild edible mushrooms, as well as the website northernbushcraft.com.
