The Newfoundland Trail is a part of the Épinette Creek Trail System located within Spruce Woods Provincial Park. Beginning at a parking lot off Highway #5, the trail twists through the hills to Jackfish Lake near the Assiniboine River. Even though this is considered a backcountry trip, the trail is groomed regularly during the winter for cross-country skiers. Conditions are dictated by potential snow fall between our trip and the last time they groomed!
