This training is in very high demand, and it routinely sells out with a long wait list. For this reason, this training is only for those who do not hold a valid Standard First Aid certificate. If you have a lower level certificate of First Aid, such as Emergency First Aid, you are welcome to attend.
No. There is no online component. Both days are in-person at George Brown College.
The training is free for all current full-time students of George Brown College only. Those who are not current full-time students of the college are not permitted to attend.
Unfortunately, no. All spots are reserved for current full-time students of George Brown College. We do not accept payment for this training from any participants. We encourage you, though, to take this valuable training from a licensed Red Cross First Aid trainer.
No. There is no mechanism to allow for this. Please do not do this as the person who is taking the ticket may be turned away at the door for not being registered on the ticket. Our policy is that the person who registered for the training is expected to attend the training.
Cancel your ticket as soon as you know you cannot attend. Tickets that are not cancelled by the registrant at 9:00 am on the Friday before the training will be expected to attend the training. This gives time for the next student on the waiting list to learn about the opening and register for it.
Students who are registered and do not attend have taken away a spot from another student who could have made it to the training. For this reason, those who do not attend will not be able to register for another SafeWalk training for a period of six months.
