Join StudioSIAT on Tuesday, November 12th at the SFU Surrey campus for SPARK ANIMATION 2024’s special screening of Made In Canada, Vol 2, a showcase of exceptional Canadian-made animated short films. Canada has long been a powerhouse in the world of animation, and this collection of Canadian-made short films continues that proud tradition.

SPARK ANIMATION 2024 is Western Canada's largest celebration of animation, offering a dynamic mix of screenings, insightful Q&As, talks, and masterclasses led by industry experts. This year, the SPARK ANIMATION festival will be held from October 31st to November 30th with a special screening at the SFU Surrey campus!

After the screening there will be a chance to win access to the Masterclass, Creating Your Own Animated Film, held Saturday November 16, 9:30am.

In this all-day class, animation legend Aaron Blaise will take you through the creative process behind the making of his new short film, Snow Bear. Along the way, Aaron will reveal the many considerations needed in order to produce your own animated short.
