About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

The Small Business Centre is excited to launch another year of its dynamic Summer Company program, helping young entrepreneurs turn their business ideas into reality. To kick things off, the Small Business Centre will be hosting a virtual information session on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, where interested students, parents, and educators can learn more about the program, eligibility requirements, and application process.

Work for the Best Boss Ever… You! Summer Company provides full-time students, aged 15 to 29 and returning to school in the fall, with the opportunity to run their own summer businesses. This initiative supports youth looking for a challenging, hands-on entrepreneurial experience and is an excellent way for students to develop business skills, build confidence, and take charge of their future.

The Small Business Centre will be accepting applications from May 2 to May 16, 2025. Eligible students with a great idea, initiative, and a passion for entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply.

Summer Company is an initiative of the Government of Ontario, designed to foster entrepreneurship by providing young people with the skills and support necessary to start and operate their own businesses.
