She says: I've been playing guitar since I was 12 (20 years now 🤯) and I started writing parodies when I was 15 which transitioned into writing regular songs at 16. Also fun fact: I auditioned for Canadian Idol when I was 16 and Canada's Got Talent when I was 19!
Second Performers: Mayor McVey @mayormcvey
Hailing from the picturesque landscapes of Bowen Island and the vibrant streets of East Vancouver, Mayor McVey is a musical duo comprising Guy McVey and Stephanie Mayor. United by a shared passion for music and a mutual desire to break away from the confines of another cover song band, Guy and Steph joined together to form acoustic duo Mayor McVey, primarily writing and performing original songs. Drawing from influences as diverse as Canadian Americana, melodic indie folk, and a little country and roots, Mayor McVey's distinctive and atmospheric sound defies easy categorization. Their live performances, characterized by intimate acoustic sets and heartfelt storytelling, have enchanted audiences at venues ranging from breweries to bustling farmer's markets. They look forward to sharing their music with an even larger audience this December as a chosen artist to perform at the Centennial Theatre for the Artists and Musician’s Performance Theatre.
