About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours

Supported spinning is a relaxed and portable way to spin. It’s also a great skill builder. This is a workshop for both beginner and experienced supported spinner. We’ll learn about the various supported spindles, how to use them and find the right one for you. Just as important as finding the right spindle is finding the right bowl. Fibre prep matters, so we’ll go over various fibres and how to prep them to get the yarn you want. We’ll spend time learning how to add your leader, proceed to spinning and building a cop. We’ll round out the day by looking at some ways to ply.
