What the event is for: My name is Shakira Ibrahim and I will be competing in a national beauty pageant this summer. This means that I have a chance to win any of 5 national pageant titles including: Miss World Canada, Miss Supranational Canada, Miss international Canada, Miss Grand Canada, and Miss Earth Canada. Along with mentally and physically preparing for this beauty pageant, part of my Beauty With a Purpose is supporting a charity of choice. As I am finishing my degree in education and have a love for children, my charity of choice is the McBride Youth United Association. This fundraising event will not only help me compete at the National pageant, but it will also help out those in need in our community.
