About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

This interactive workshop will introduce educators to the exciting world of Machine Learning (ML) using the micro:bit platform. Participants will learn how to utilize micro:bit CreateAI, a user-friendly tool, to guide students in exploring AI concepts through movement and data collection.

Through hands-on activities, educators will gain practical experience in training ML models, coding with micro:bits, and developing engaging classroom activities that integrate these concepts.


Objectives:

  • Understand the core principles of Machine Learning and its applications.
  • Learn how to use micro:bit CreateAI for data collection, model training, and coding with ML.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of AI concepts, including data analysis, pattern recognition, and model evaluation.
  • Gain practical experience in designing and implementing engaging Machine Learning activities for K-12 students.


Materials:

  • Computer with internet access (Chrome or Edge browser recommended)
  • Optional for the session - micro:bit V2 (one per participant) (micro:bit V1 can be used with some limitations)
  • USB data cable
