Explore the world of web development: Ruby is a programming language used by many tech companies, among them Evernote, Intuit, Shopify and Hulu. In this workshop you will learn the basics of Ruby, an essential programming language for back-end development. Ruby is an ideal language for beginners due to its user-friendly syntax, and readability.

Format

This webinar will start with a 1-hour lecture, led by our Le Wagon instructor, Catalina Galan Vargas, to introduce the core concepts. You will then be onboarded on Le Wagon’s e-learning platform and access the slides, a sum-up of key notions as well as exercises to keep practicing after the workshop.

All levels are welcome! No experience is needed. Just bring your computer and be there, online, at the start of the class.

What you’ll learn:

✅ Core Ruby concepts and syntax which are highly transferrable to any other coding languages

✅ Back-end development core principles

✅ The basics of programming concepts, such as variable assignment, if-statements and loops
