TEDxUW is the University of Waterloo’s official TEDx experience and the latest in a series of 3000+ events being held around the world as part of the global TED movement. TED's purpose is to create open platforms for rivetings ideas to be spread and shared for free, with the world.
The price of your ticket covers your admission to the full day TEDx conference, catered breakfast, lunch, snack & refreshments, and a delegate gift. Our venue will also feature sponsor booths, networking spaces, and different exhibits and showcases.
The theme for this year's event is "Making Waves". Waves are anywhere and everywhere – from sound waves, to water waves, to light waves and the one thing that they have in common is that once they arrive, their impact shakes their surroundings… and everything around them is no longer the same.
That's what we're about at TEDxUW this year – movement. We recognize that Waterloo is brimming with eclectic, innovative, and impactful ideas. Our focus is on the people behind these ideas, hustling to bring them outside of their brilliant minds and into the world, from ideas to reality. We call them wave-makers.
TEDxUW 2018 will be held on Saturday, October 13th 2018, at the University of Waterloo. Breakfast and registration will start at 8:30AM.
We would also like to invite you to our After Party from 5:30PM onwards. Join us for an exclusive networking session with Speakers and Sponsors! The After Party will be taking place at the Bomber in the Student Life Center (SLC). Spots are limited! Please note that the Student Discount does not apply to the After Party.
