The 70th Grand Highland Military Ball

We are delighted to announce the 70th Grand Highland Military Ball!

On Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel located at 133 9th Avenue SW, Calgary Alberta, the ballroom will echo to the sounds of our very own Regimental Pipes and Drums and the massed Calgary Highlanders Cadet Corps Pipes and Drums. Whirling Highland Dancers and the chance for all to do some Scottish Country Dancing combine with banners and tartans, haggis, and Scottish poetry to create a Highland ambiance. The Grand March is the sign for the dancing (Scottish and otherwise) to begin after a lovely dinner.​

The Grand Highland Military Ball proudly raises money for The Calgary Highlanders Regimental Funds Foundation, which is a charitable, non-profit organization that supports the Regiment and its soldiers, veterans and families as well as our affiliated cadet corps and the preservation of the Regiment's history.

• Tariff: $150.00 per person incl. GST
• Gentlemen: Mess Kit, Black Tie, Business Formal or Formal Highland Wear
• Ladies: Mess Kit, Business Formal or Evening Gown
• Medals and decorations should be worn

Ball Sponsors and Patrons

Please consider becoming a Donor, Sponsor, Patron or Friend of this event! Several donation levels are available with corresponding recognition optional at the event:

• $150 to pay the General Admission for an current serving soldier or veteran
• A Friends gift of $500 or more
• Patron’s gift of $1,000 or more
• Sponsor’s gift of $2,500 or more
• Donor’s gift of $5,000 or more
• Title Donor's gift of $10,000 or more

$150 pays the General Admission for a soldier or veteran. Please note a limited number of ticket have been set aside to donate to soliders and veterans, donations of this type exceeding soldier/veteran needs will be converted to direct donations to the CHRFF.

Other donation amounts will receive a charitable tax receipt and your name listed in our program and on our website (if desired).
